Tre Cime di Lavaredo – Dolomites – Italy

Probably the most famous moutains in the Dolomites, Italy, the Tre Cime di Lavaredo (the three peaks of Lavaredo) offer a great place to explore, to all mountain hikers.
If you plan to visit the italian the Alps, I advise you to hike around those three incredible peaks.
The borderline between South Tyrol and the province of Belluno, passes above the Tre Cime di Lavaredo summits.
On the main photograph, you can see the Mount Paterno, on the left, and the Tre Cime di Lavaredo on the right, with (from left to right), Cima Piccola “little peak” (2857m), Cima Grande “big peak” (2999m) and Cima Ovest “western peak” (2973m), and the Rifugio Antonio Locatelli in the foreground.
The first ascent of the Cima Grande took place in 1869 by Paul Grohmann, Franz Innerkofler and Peter Salcher.

I hope you will enjoy my pictures of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, taken in the Dolomites, Italy, during an entire day of hiking.
I have edited the pictures this way, as you will notice, the wasn’t a single cloud in the sky that day!
